Curriculum Vitae

Roland Vaubel is Professor emeritus at the University of Mannheim, Germany. He has received a B.A. in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford, an M.A. from Columbia University, New York, and a doctorate from the University of Kiel, Germany. He has been Professor of Economics at Erasmus University Rotterdam and Visiting Professor of International Economics at the University of Chicago (Graduate School of Business). He has been Professor of Economics at the University of Mannheim from 1984 to 2016. He is a member of the Advisory Council to the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology. He is associate editor of the Review of International Organizations and a member of the editorial boards of the European Journal of Political Economy, Constitutional Political Economy and Cato Journal. He is also a member of the Academic Advisory Council of the Institute of Economic Affairs, London. [download]

 

Lebenslauf

Geboren 1948. Studium an den Universitäten München, Oxford und Columbia University (New York). Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, Politics and Economics (1970). Master of Arts in Economics (1972). Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Institut für Weltwirtschaft, Kiel (1973-84), zuletzt als Forschungsgruppenleiter. Promotion zum Dr. rer. pol. (1977) und Habilitation (1980) an der Universität Kiel. Associate Professor (1979) und ord. Professor (1980) für Monetary Economics an der Erasmus Universität Rotterdam. Gastprofessor für International Economics an der Graduate School of Business Administration der University of Chicago (1981). Von 1984 bis 2016 Professor für Volkswirtschaftslehre an der Universität Mannheim. Mitglied des Wissenschaftlichen Beirats beim Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Technologie. Associate Editor der Zeitschrift "Review of International Organisations". Mitglied des Editorial Board der Zeitschriften European Journal of Political Economy, Constitutional Political Economy und Cato Journal. Mitglied des Academic Advisory Council des Institute of Economic Affairs, London.
